  1. We do! Electric blinds that match the wall colour ☺️
  2. Thanks! We’ve got the full range of testers from Strong White to Mole’s Breath lol. Our decorators have had ours mixed up by Johnstone’s. Would love to have had unlimited funds to have F&B’s paint, but needs must! Looking at the ranges now which will tie in the kitchen/living/outside etc ...
  3. Great! Too nervous to hang them ourselves though. Did you do the skirtings yourself too? What about the black skirtings your son has?
  4. Very nice!! Thanks for showing me. Are all your doors up now? Happy with them?
  5. This looks great! ?
  6. Do you have a picture of them?
  7. Found one without moving an inch! ?
  8. Morning @GraemeHM We’ve gone for anthracite inside and out, and where we have window boards we will be painting them the same colour. Walls will Farrow & Ball’s Ammonite. Will take a picture for you later, but the walls are currently in the mist coat stage and the window boards are still in primer. Hope that helps!
  9. Wow! Beautiful windows and stunning house! Thank you for sharing
  10. Thank you! Do you happen to have a picture?
  11. Like you, our windows are anthracite both sides. No one tell us we’d have two gazillion things to choose and decide on when we start this journey, do they?! ?
  12. Thanks both We're still in two minds. There’s no ‘white white’ ~ all ‘slightly off whites’, and our last house had black cills to match the back windows, albeit the depth was less. Going to keep pondering ... along with the gazillion other things to think about!! ?
  13. ... windows and doors, what colour did you, or will you paint the window boards? • The same RAL as the windows • White • Same colours as the walls (in our case, a soft white like ‘linen’) Next question ... are you happy with your choice?!
  14. Hello CCL! Thanks for posting. We couldn’t have what we wanted so decided to leave the doors off in the end and address them at a later stage, if at all. I really like what you’ve shown in your pictures so will definitely look to ask them to quote if we find we’d prefer doors there. Thanks again
  15. Are you quite handy then? We’re not, and don’t want to bodge it, especially the skirtings as we too are having them to match. Did you order an Alfa door by any chance? We’ve just learnt they are fixed to the floor somehow and we can’t see where or how. We have UFH so we’re wary of fixing anything to the floor, even though it’s 60-80mm deep.
  16. Are you fitting them yourself? We’ve asked TEV for a quote to fit them. We’re not even amateur carpenters!! Our builder doesn’t want to fit them but we know a carpenter we could ask maybe. Figured TEV would make a good job of it.
  17. Oh wow! So similar to our choice!! They look great! Ours are Porta Resist E1 in Gladstone white oak. Or at least they will be! I’m so glad I asked. Thanks for the photos! ??
  18. Hello there Have your doors been fitted yet? Are you happy with them? Which ones did you get, and are they all single doors or did you go for any pocket doors or Alfa doors at all?
  19. That would be the answer, yes, but really not what we wanted. Nothing against LVT (we had Amtico in our last house) but really wanted these particular tiles.
  20. Thanks for the confirmation ?
  21. Thanks for all your replies. The builder has come back and said the screed guy had already informed him about it and said he’ll grind it down and that everything will be fine. To answer some of the questions ... We had to have a deeper pour of screed due to cambers in the beam and block. @TonyT the reason I was worried about it was because we’d not chosen the floor finish at the time when we were asked as they were installing the doors in the summer. I stressed a lot about it and for there to be an issue is, as I said before, my worst nightmare as it was the thing I stressed about the most! Can’t cut the doors down unfortunately. They’re aluclad triple glazed doors. @AliG it is cement based screed - Cemfloor by McGraphs. We do have UFH. Anyhow, can’t tell how relieved it will be sorted and also that it’s not going to cost us.
  22. Jeez, my worst nightmare. I was literally losing sleep over the FFL a few months back and now the screed has been poured (as week ago tomorrow) one of our doors only just clears it, and the front door doesn’t have enough clearance for the flooring. I’ve messaged the builder but he’s on their Christmas break so he might not pick up his messages. Has this happened to anyone else??
  23. Thanks everyone. We are near Peterborough. Can you give us your air test company if they’re anywhere near us please? Thanks!
