Looks like we've found a great community website for self-builders, so let me introduce ourselves.
We bought a dilapidated bungalow last year on a .7 of an acre site. We've already demolished it and its currently our hardstanding for our static caravan which we moved into a month ago. Our plans for a SIPs build have been fully approved and we should be 'breaking ground' in the next month, all being well.
It's been a bit of a nightmare getting our drainage sorted as there is none(!), and we are currently draining into a hired septic tank until the groundworks are done and our water treatment tank is installed.
Wondering if anyone has an example of an expense spreadsheet they could share that will help us keep our finances in order, and for it to be a good tool at the end for VAT re-claiming? I've tried to find some online but none seem specific to our needs.
I'm sure there will be many more questions as we go along, and we will have a lot of reading to do as I'm sure there are many informative posts on here.
