  1. On the up side I’ve got the thing turned up full blast and the sound is pretty good!
  2. What's that? Some sort of techo stuff? I have a bit of an eclectic taste in music but doesn't really encompass techno / indie. Prefer rock mostly but have Vancouver Sleep Clinic on at the mo as in chill out mode.
  3. Yes it bloody well was!!
  4. Thanks, have emailed so fingers crossed. Fecking typical that it would turn up within an hour of me ordering it though!
  5. Only ordered the PSU and have emailed them and asked if I can cancel. The remote is pretty crap for something so expensive TBH!
  6. Ah well it's connected to my iPhone and playing tunes. That's enough for one day after several hours searching for the bits to make that happen. It looks like several more bombs have hit elsewhere however where I've sorted through piles and piles of crap to find them. Tomorrow's issue
  7. +2. I don’t think it would make for a tranquil living room, quite apart from any heat loss issues.
  8. Found the bloody remote now too! FML! Don’t think much of the radio so far. The date is right but the time is 2 hours slow.
  9. Yeah possibly! Not sure how much they charge in general but wasn't expecting it to be that much TBH. Hey ho, it's signed off now and that's the important thing.
  10. SE up here charged me over £1500 for the paperwork for a circa 6M x 4M single storey / single room extension. Thought that was a lot but had a gun to my head.
  11. Crap! Turned another room upside down and found it in a crate. An hour after ordering a replacement. Still no sign of the remote and I didn’t order one of those ?. Maybe I’ll email them and ask if I can swap for a remote .... Now to see whether it works.
  12. If you went to school in Kent how come you didn’t turn out normal!
  13. He was from Essex so it was always going to be a leap of faith
  14. It was cool. He never understood what I spent on shoes, handbags and phones, and I never understood what he spent on PCs, simulators, gadgets (and now radios). Vive la difference!
  15. Never a sheep. I am my own person. Always ! Hubby refused to use anything Apple. Amazing we were in any way compatible TBH!
  16. I'll be keeping it away from the jellyfish . I just found 3 more bags of cables, remotes and adapters in the top kitchen cupboards. Still no joy but I think we must have been preparing for a world shortage of AV cables! Now I'm scared to bin anything just in case some of the adapters fit things I haven't yet realised I need to use . I already took that big crate of cables etc. that was in the back room to the tip.
  17. I know! I don't find it particularly attractive TBH. If he was going to spend a load of money on a radio I wish he had bought a Bose. It's here though so if I can get it going it's the easiest option, and Revo are Scottish so I guess it supports the UK.
  18. iPhone X, iOS 11.3.1. I hate Android . Have to use one for work and hate it with a passion.
  19. The males over exaggerate their inches leading to disappointment that only cake, chocolate and wine will fix!
  20. Yeah that seems like the best option TBH. Nothing is ever straightforward here though . Bet it'll be a nightmare to set up next!
  21. Thanks. Think I'll buy the power supply from Revo then to make sure I don't screw it up. It's £12 with another £10 for the remote so may as just buy from them. Why the hell would the power adaptor and remote not be next to the bloody radio though?!! Laptop adaptors say 19.5V so I'm not going to chance one of those.
  22. What happens if I stick the wrong thing in? It simply doesn't work or it fecks it? Have found about half a dozen 12V ones, can't see one that says 18V yet.
  23. The speakers are a different make so not even sure they were intended for the radio although I'm not sure what else they were for and they are right next to it. I would be buying from China too, or something much less expensive than this white elephant. I would rather buy a couple of handbags than spend lots of money on a radio! And as you can see from the photo this thing was 'assembled in China' anyway Now need to try to locate an 18V adaptor.
  24. Yes indeed it does, thanks! Am I likely to have such a thing? What sort of things are powered by an 18V one?
  25. And here it is, and the adaptor I tried
