I've had a few birds nest in the garage - will be boarded out next year - I will miss not seeing them.

Do you have plans for birds with your new build?

I particularly like integrated Swift boxes. Here we had until last year a row of lime and horse chestnut tree down our drive on the neighbour side. Swifts used to fly circuits round them in May, catching insects.

One thing I have noticed is the huge benefit of the occasional 3m high bush over 2m high bushes. Cut a bigger one down to 2m or less and small birds seem not to want to roost there anymore. At least that is what I have observed here,
