joe90
Jack, I missed your joke, thought you were serious, I forget you guys remember our planning farce. I also found that being 1 1/2atories compramises internal space upstairs and 2 stories are much easier to detail for airtightness ( plus the fact it’s what I bloody wanted ,,,,,,)

Caroline
Well done Joe! I'm only 5" tall so 1 1/2 seems like three storey to me ???
vivienz
Hi Caroline, I'm building on clay at the moment and tried contacting Surefoot with no success. When I rang, the call was picked up by a young lady who sounded very much like one of those call answering services and they guy never got back to me. I have subsequently heard adverse reports of both the people and the product, particularly in its lack of suitability for clay. I'm using mini CFA piles below my passive foundation. I could have dug deeper but would have needed to go to at least 2m depth and muckaway is scandalously expensive in my area, hence the piles. There is little difference in price between the two methods, so I opted for the one that I know will absolutely work. Good luck with your research and your build.
