Potential cuts to BUS grant

Bad (if they happen) but maybe will also help squeeze out the "grant farmers" and make more people just go ahead and do a simple "DIY" install rather than having a gold plated MCS one which ends up costing the same anyway.

 

I note the VAT exemption for solar installs is ending this April so I don't expect that will be renewed but I understand they are 5% rated anyway so not a huge difference?

About time too. Handing out free money at £9k a time is insanity given other pressures. Its abundantly clear that the higher the grant goes, the higher the prices go.

Couldn't agree more, just need to get rid of MCS next.

Only VAT except when you do an MCS install, so carries a large MCS tax anyway.
