Rugs for LVT

Just wanted to get some feedback from anyone who has put a rug over their LVT flooring. what have you used? Have you had any marks or discolouring to your flooring?

 

Karndean specify no latex, rubber or polyester on the backs of rugs. It’s proving a mission to find anything that works, as most rugs or carpets have a combined back on them. We also have underfloor heatings so extra nervous.

Yes, am also interested in this.

Our flooring guy said yes any such coverings can chemically react with the LVT and cause discolouration. He cited a care home he had been to where the LVT had discoloured where there had been a high frequency of movement of old people's slippers shuffling over the same piece of floor and it had discoloured.

Yes.  We went for indoor / outdoor rugs from Ikea because we don’t like thick chunky fluffy or fringed rugs. Prefer a plainer style.   Didn’t want anything with any extra layers etc that would restrict the flow of heat from our UFH.  Additional bonus is super hardwearing and can be washed easily, and inexpensive for big rugs.
