crispy_wafer Posted August 22 Posted August 22 (edited) slowly getting dizzy from going round the bend... Seem to have an array of fittings except the one i need grrr! What do i need to attach to a copper pipe to allow this to connect please? I can solder, but compression, or push would do me equally as well. Got some lovely Hep20 tails, but the connector doesn’t fit my bath mixer controller. Thin hep is 10mm and the mixer is 8mm. Ta. Edited August 22 by crispy_wafer
crispy_wafer Posted August 22 Author Posted August 22 One of these fits, would that be the right type of fitting to use?
Bonner Posted August 22 Posted August 22 Looks like it, should be parallel thread with flat end to seat on a rubber washer in the hose coupling 1 1

Don't overtighten it though, as the rubber seal will get damaged. Hand tight, then a 1/4 turn or so max is usually suffice. crispy_wafer Posted 7 hours ago Author Posted 7 hours ago Want to replace a through deck shower hose to a longer one, valve body has one of these adapters with it, bought a replacement hose but the 3/8” male wont fit the narrow end of this adapter, the valve outlet is 1/2”. I guess I’m asking if there is such a thing as a 1/2” to 3/8” adapter, or is there another way?
