I'm in need of a tile cutter and looking for recommendations please.

It's going to used for various porcelain wall tiles, probably with a depth no greater than 12mm.  Mostly 600mm*300mm.  We're not planning any tiles with diagonal face cuts.

This is going to be a tool I'm going to use over the next few months then sell, so something that would be sought after secondhand would be good.

Rubi, Sigma?  So many models it's confusing?

I own both Rubi (dry and wet) and Sigma (dry).

The Sigma is hands down the best cutter I've ever owned. It's also an industry go-to, so you should be able to sell it on without too much of a loss.

This will do you nicely, I have the larger one.

Thanks @Nickfromwales @Nestor, ordered myself a Sigma, and treated myself to a cordless angle grinder, a diamond cutting disc, and some edge polishing pads!  These should see me right whilst I sort out the bathrooms.

You will need very good nerves to do all the flag cuts by hand. I'd say get a cheap wet bed cutter for these. Much quicker than sanding down every grinder cut, and waaaaaaaay less dust and mess. If using porcelain, you'll soon be reaching for the cyanide pill if you try to finish these all by hand.

The pro tilers on youtube make it look so easy. Then you watch an amateur try and do the same thing and it gives you pause.

To be fair, I did a cut with my old angle grinder last night to go from underneath and round the corner edge of the bathtub, took a bit of doing but turned out good I think.  I’ve got an old cheap wet disc cutter but that creates more chips than McCain’s, so reluctant to use it for anything other than wall corners where the cuts will be out of sight.

Less typing and more tiling I guess then! lol.
