WiltshireLink Posted Saturday at 21:32 Posted Saturday at 21:32 Hi All, I am going to render my window reveals but have a few questions I cant answer by looking around... I see window reveal beads but I dont really fancy the trim that seems to be left stuck onto the window, it looks unsightly and will be a different color to my windows...is there any alternatives here? Or..could I attach a cement board to the reveal then render that? Negating the need for the beads? Thanks as ever!
WiltshireLink Posted Saturday at 22:05 Author Posted Saturday at 22:05 Or, does the trim that sticks out pull away? To reveal a neat line? Thanks
Nick Laslett Posted yesterday at 00:50 Posted yesterday at 00:50 (edited) These two threads might be of interest. These beads do come in a few different colours. https://likov.com/ps2-flex-colour-2d-window-reveal-bead-with-protective-lip-g177 Edited yesterday at 00:51 by Nick Laslett 1
Russell griffiths Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago Ask your rendering team to take you and show you how they normally finish this area, have a look and see if it fits in with what you’re after. I used the coloured trims and I think it’s very neat, but it takes a good man to run the render up to them neatly. the trims do have a tear off strip that protects the windows while they are being rendered. 1
WiltshireLink Posted 4 hours ago Author Posted 4 hours ago I think that is what I was not getting, I can now see they have a tear off slip that leaves a nice line and finish. I didnt understand that tear off slip was temporary! Cheers
