Dave and Helen Posted Monday at 20:42 Posted Monday at 20:42 Hi, It's been a while since I last posted on here, but as we're in the process of trying to decide what sewage treatment plant to install, I thought I'd ask for some suggestions. Earlier this afternoon, I had a meeting with an engineer from a company called Premier Tech. I originally enquired about their Rewatec Solido Smart and arranged a meeting to go over our requirements. I've read a few posts on here on the subject of water treatment systems, some of which mentioned the Solidio Smart, which looked ideal at the time, as I wanted a system where the air compressor was built into the unit for convenience. This system also looked to cater for a smaller number of people in the house, controlled via an external panel that could be located away from the tank. Our self-build will have five bedrooms, but only my partner and I will live there, so we want to futureproof it. During our meeting, the engineer suggested their Ecoflow Non-electric sewage treatment plant | Ecoflo would be connected to the outflow of a separate septic tank, also supplied by them. The treated water from the Ecoflow could then go into a local watercourse via gravity (we don't have room, and the soil doesn't allow us to have a filtration field). This solution requires no electricity, as its filtration is based on coconut husks, and the engineer assured me it would cater for a lower number of residents. In short, does anyone have any experience of Premier Tech's Ecoflow system, or non-electrical water treatment systems in general? Kind regards Dave C
Nickfromwales Posted yesterday at 10:02 Posted yesterday at 10:02 5 bedroom needs a system capable of 6 person occupancy. Your ‘advisor’ shouldn’t suggest a system of lesser capacity. Get an air-blower based treatment plant, and leave the coconuts to the good people that make the Bounty chocolate bars .
SteamyTea Posted yesterday at 10:15 Posted yesterday at 10:15 Where will you buy the coconut husks from when the supplier has vanished. Get a STP with a separate air blower. Blowers built in can be noisy.
