PhilC Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Hi All, Appreciate any recommendations for PCC / Warranty. We have planning and building control done, getting the financing together now. Thanks.
PhilC Posted 13 hours ago Author Posted 13 hours ago I did all the planning and building control applications (had the timber frame, steels and foundation designed), so I dont have an architect already working on the project.
Oz07 Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Search @nodposts with pcc mentioned. On his most recent build I believe he's used a "guarantee " company who effectively just issue you a pcc i think. Not sure what happens between year 6 and 10 maybe it is a more comprehensive scheme than the architect I've used.
Bonner Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago I have a warranty from CMLC, was lower cost than most alternatives (think @nod has the same). Can’t vouch for it because I haven’t claimed and until then, who knows if it’s any use!
WisteriaMews Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Depending on the reason you're getting a warranty it might be worth looking at ones that are widely accepted by the major lenders. For our build I made sure that I got one which was widely accepted so I'd have no problems getting a mortgage (or if we needed to sell, the person who we were buying from wouldn't either).
