Anyone seen a 'straight-though' sun tunnel with this kind of configuration?

We've got a couple of sun tubes in our kitchen, but they have frosted plastic at the bottom. It's probably so you can't see the reflective tube. Incidently we're going to replace them with boxed in skylights sometime.

Sun pipes/tubes usually have a vented top dome to reduce condensation. The brush seal usually fails after a while and insects get in.

The design may have changed as it was last century that I was involved with them.

Ooooh - what's the philosophical difference between a skylight and a sun tunnel, nice?

Not much as there are round skylights. Some sun tunnels just direct light, you can't see out. Circular skylights are usually bigger. I guess the big thing is that skylights nearly always have their aperture parallel to the roof.

I'm looking for a vertical tube to put above my showers so that I can see the sky 😁 ... preferably with ends that are parallel to the roof and the internal ceiling.

My velux came with joints that you can rotate against themselves so you could just take the angle of the roof and then immediately bend it downwards. I guess you'd get a glimmer of sky, probably not very good to look at though with all the mounting hardware.

I can see a slither of sky though mine but then the frosted cover hides that, and all the bird sh1t on the window itself.
