Mike Wynn Posted Friday at 13:38 Posted Friday at 13:38 I was wondering if anybody had any experience rendering soffit boards to a chamferred finish? I have seen the following design online, which I really like but I have no experience using this technique so I would like to know how it is done.
Russell griffiths Posted Friday at 13:49 Posted Friday at 13:49 In Australia I did its a tapered edge cement based board, you use a product from a tub over the joints and screw holes the same as internal plasterboard, but it’s obviously ok for outdoors. you can get a coloured board from James hardy that uses a joining strip instead of taping the joints. 1
nod Posted Friday at 13:52 Posted Friday at 13:52 Yes I’ve done this and used a 12.5 cement board Mesh and base coat Then 15 mil top coat Scraped You can get the tapered effect using beads 1
