Nickfromwales
Cut 25mm polystyrene sheets to size with a cheap handsaw ( messy ). Squirt foam on the back. Place on dampened floor. Weigh down for 30 mins. Go to pub ?
Lin
Sounds like fun; except we have to put PIR on top of the concrete and it won't lay flat with random bits of polystyrene unless they are perfectly sculpted ? ?? Either you are having a laugh or I must be missing something
Nickfromwales
If its going to need patching in lots of different areas then it would be a cruel task. Another option could be to blind the worst areas with 6mm aggregate and let the liquid screed bind into it. Its harder to advise from afar as it isn't an enviable task. Lin
Even though the floor is not level like a pond is, it's not that bad smoothwise. Putting the PIR down and letting the screed do the levelling by being deeper in areas and thinner in others should be OK ?? ; at least that is what the contractor seemed to be happy with
