SBMS Posted yesterday at 20:01 Posted yesterday at 20:01 Currently looking at the Panasonic aquarea heat pump and the wall mounted fan coil units upstairs. Has anyone any experience of piping these up and can advise on where/how the condensate outflow is connected? Can’t find any installation manuals online but have seen a drip tray for a parts list. Would rather it was plumbed in and hidden Than a drip tray. anyone installed these? Looking at the P-FMM15 for reference - https://www.aircon.panasonic.eu/GB_en/model/p-fmm15/
Nick Laslett Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago (edited) Here is the page from the installation manual for the floor standing unit. Source: https://shop.dhps.nl/Article/DownloadAsset/Installatiehandleiding Panasonic ventilatorconvectoren P-FAL serie (Engels).pdf?documentId=assets/1043/d4cdab92f98c4a15b453b97b9addb49e Basically you route the condensate pipe to a soil vent stack. Use a waterless waste trap between the condensate pipe and the SVP connection. Like this: https://wavin.com/gb/p/c5d3a02d-0d50-4ebb-a3a7-ff44fe446e57/osma-hepvo-waste-valve-32mm-white The condensate pipe will need an adapter to convert it to 32mm for the waterless waste trap. I did find a smaller 21mm trap here. The condensate pipe diameter is 14mm. https://www.greenmillac.com/Waterless-Trap-3-4-inch In an ideal world you will be able to access the waterless trap, as eventually it will need replacing. Thanks Nick - is it the same for the wall mounted unit? I couldn’t find any information on that one..

I would think the P-FMM15 will also have a 14mm condensate pipe. You can always speak to the technical dept of the supplier, they will give their take on how best to plumb the condensate pipe.
Nick Laslett Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago (edited) Here is the link to the Installation Manual for the Aquarea P-FMM units: https://www.library.aircon.panasonic.eu/GB_en/doc/rUbm7oIgxvs=/ Google is so useless, now. I switched to DuckDuckGo and it was the first link. 16mm diameter condensate connection on the P-FMM15 model. Edited 22 hours ago by Nick Laslett 1
Dave Jones Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago yes i have both the new and old model. the drain can be brought out either side on the new model (its wifi controlled). Had our plumber put a waterless trap for it to drop into to be on safe side. amazing bit of kit, couldn't live without one in the summer now. 1
