gavztheouch Posted October 13 Posted October 13 Is it a bad idea to have inlet and outlets into prevailing wind. I would imagine with the relatively low flow rates of Mvhr the wind might cause havoc also wind driven rain will make sealing the pipe harder?
JohnMo Posted October 13 Posted October 13 Not sure it makes any difference. I actually have two MVHR units both have a combination inlet/outlets. One is in one side of the house the second the other the side of the house. One sees the prevailing wind the other doesn't, don't notice anything in the house. If you are getting wind driven rain in you have done something very wrong. Maybe you are overthinking stuff. Only important bit is have both inlet and outlet on the same face of the building. 1 1
Mike Posted October 13 Posted October 13 No problem - if the intake and exhaust are on the same elevation then both will experience similar wind pressure and remain balanced. 1
