vishusingh Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Where do I start… I’ve always been a diy person ever since I was about 5 and my grandad gave me a hand twist drill for woodwork. fast forward 42 years and I’m 47, having completed a few projects ie gutting and refitting my wc, fitting my own kitchen (albeit Ikea) and now I’m in the middle of a legal battle with my builder who has taken 25k out of 29k for a build that has a leaking roof, blown plasterboard beneath and a wall which has to come out at the front of the house (non supporting part of a 1969 extension) to house a new front door lacking confidence is the problem and just need some support to help get my home and family secure. 1
MikeSharp01 Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Welcome to THE forum for people like us. Very sorry to hear your story and here to offer help and support, probably best to start a new thread to unpack it all and we can start helping with advice and confidence building. 1
Big Jimbo Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Morning. Lots of people on here who can offer help and advice. Post some informationwhen you get a chance. 1
jack Posted October 4 Posted October 4 @vishusingh, you've come to the right place. Must of us are amateurs who've found (sometimes had to find, like you) our way through difficult and complex situations. There are also some very experienced people who give their time freely to help. Post your questions in the relevant sub-forums, and no doubt someone will be along to help. Good luck. 1
