We put insulated plasterboard on the walls so don't want to loose the whole benefit of the insulation through these gaps. This particular place will be covered with skirting but it's the same behind kitchen cabinets and no plan for skirting there at the moment (we used to have fridge-like temperature in winter in corner cabinet before renovation).
