Young bull Posted Thursday at 07:08 Posted Thursday at 07:08 Hi everyone, Im just wondering how everybody else attach the cavity insulation starting above the damp course. It is 100mm T&G PIR board. Im worried that the bottom board will slip out at with it only being held at the top so I am thinking of gluing the bottom board to the block work with something like soudabond? Does anybody have any other ideas or products they would recommend for this? Thanks
nod Posted Thursday at 08:22 Posted Thursday at 08:22 Start your cavity ties on the top of your dpc and sit your boards on these

ETC Posted Thursday at 20:18 Posted Thursday at 20:18 Why don’t you pump the cavity/ Also how are you getting cover to the bottom of the mesh? Why have you got a DPC cavity tray?

Why have you got a DPC cavity tray? Pump the cavity as in fill with EPS beads? I suppose I have just have always favoured a more traditional cavity gap really. That picture was taken just after I'd finished fitting the mesh. As I understand it, the tray is because the bottom of the cavity is completely filled with insulation and therefore needs the tray? This is the first build we have done so is all very new to us.

Thanks You could let them sit on the lean mix cavity fill if you don’t want to do that Both ways will work I definitely would start gluing anything I couldn’t imagine a brickie doing that
