I think they are generally made up from a number of separate pieces of timber and standard mouldings (quadrants, Scotia etc).  I had some made to match Georgian originals.

If you can't see it on Google, then no.  You can get standard profile pine or mdf skirting up to about 150mm, but anything above that will probably be made to order.  Do you have a picture of what you're after?

We did up an old house and it needed new skirting to match old, a local joinery firm rattled them out in a couple of days. Look for a joinery firm that has decent workshop

Looks like an egg and dart pattern.  I've only seen it on plaster mouldings rather than skirting.

Must say never seen it as a skirting but who knows...............

Bit dear isint it?

Though i do like the style of this one

Ornate Corinthian Capital (191/D) Decora Mouldings | DecWOOD

It says its hand carved; do they not use machines in timber factories these days to keep someone employed full time running the same desing though the planner all day long? I mean like a modern computer lathe dose with metal

Ornate mouldings are not skirting boards though. Let's not forget that skirting boards fulfill the function of protecting the plaster at the wall-floor junction. My wife uses it as a bump-stop for the hoover.

Just for clarity, I also hoover, but without constantly ramming my carefully fitted and painted skirting boards, so it is possible...

So from what tree does "Decwood" come from?

The most elaborate at a sensible price, that's easy to get is going to be the tall ovolo type stuff held by most builder's merchants. At least you can easily get extra when you're two feet short of it in the last room.
