victorian style skirting boards wanted

The internet seams to bring up nothing!

I want those type that look hand carved, that you would see all the fancy little roman style curves on

Any ideas where to buy please?

I think they are generally made up from a number of separate pieces of timber and standard mouldings (quadrants, Scotia etc).  I had some made to match Georgian originals.

You mean that they dont just make a long run of them off and stack high and sell cheap?

If you can't see it on Google, then no.  You can get standard profile pine or mdf skirting up to about 150mm, but anything above that will probably be made to order.  Do you have a picture of what you're after?

We did up an old house and it needed new skirting to match old, a local joinery firm rattled them out in a couple of days. Look for a joinery firm that has decent workshop

Search for "decorative mouldings"  for example these

Looks like an egg and dart pattern.  I've only seen it on plaster mouldings rather than skirting.
