Bluebaron Posted August 1 Posted August 1 (edited) Anyone got any views on the tree report below. the tree in question is on the corner of my plot with the corner of my proposed house being approx 10m from said tree. I was looking at parking space some 4m from said tree. Edited August 1 by Bluebaron File upload
Bluebaron Posted August 1 Author Posted August 1 I was thinking I could reverse the garage location from LHS TO RHS?
nod Posted August 1 Posted August 1 We where surrounded by trees on our previous build The ones at the front of the house much larger than yours 6 meters away Our SE did the tree report and allowed for this with deep foundations and Clay board Our current build has three large trees 7-10 meters away Planner insisted on fencing route areas that would have made it impossible to build May protection on top of the route Which was crazy As we needed to strip 400 mil off the entire plot You will need to get a mor sympathetic report or do as we did and do your best to follow there rules All trees are still standing at both plots With the exception of one of three with a TPO at our previous NW water decided to dig under it with an excavator shortly after moving in I contacted the tree guy at the Counsul He didn’t even come out Just said “Ah well Not ideal But accidents do happen”
ToughButterCup Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Who wrote the report? If the author was employed by the LPA, commission your own report. If you paid for the report above, don't submit it. Get the BS5837 Impact and assessment report done. If needs be, compromise. The issue is getting a house built , not merely protecting a tree.
Temp Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Mirroring the house and restricting parking to the right hand side seems reasonable to protect the RPA. Your dimensions suggest the house would be outside the RPA but the report implies the crown of the tree will be close to the house. I'd check if that's the case. I take it you don't want to move it back 2.6m? Perhaps compromise on 1m?
Bluebaron Posted August 2 Author Posted August 2 This was the LPA report I haven’t had a report done as all yet. I can’t move the house back without major compromise to the size/spacing. I’ll see what, if any restrictions come and if necesy commission my own report. thanks 1
