joe90
Hi Guys, I am in the process of designing our sliding wardrobe doors and wondered if anyone can recommend a brand of kit/ track. I would like to have top mounted rollers so no track to step on underfoot, just small posts in the floor within a reveal in the bottom of the door. All info greatly received. Onoff
Don't fit Slik imo. Get something with proper bearings rather that nylon wheels running on plain steel shafts. I did a pocket door in our bedroom in which I find the door gear "noisy". Also a set of wardrobe doors that again are noisy. Doesn't help the 18mm MDF doors might be a bit heavy! It was CHEAP door gear though! Edited January 1, 2018 by Onoff
Nickfromwales
B&Q of all places seem to be ok, but prob cheaper if you can fin somewhere online as usual. At least with B&Q you can see the stuff and get a feel for it. +1 on ball raced rollers and solid tracks. Nylon / PVC is the devil.
Onoff
I've used either Wardrobe Door Gear No.1 or 2.....can't remember which. Not overly impressed tbh. I need to revisit my work sometime! https://www.stormguard.co.uk/product-category/slik-sliding-door-gear/
