Cadoxton Jack Posted Sunday at 21:29 Posted Sunday at 21:29 Span for joists is 3m including overhang of 300mm. I intend fixing furrings on top of joists to provide the slope. i understand that the thin edge of the furring should be fixed 5-10mm above joist to prevent ponding. Is this correct? Should I fit fascia’s before osb boards or after them and should fascia boards butt up level against top of osb or butt up below osb boards. Intend fitting an epdm rubber roof. Thanks Keith

Thanks Keith A pic would really help. We'd need to see where water was supposed to head so it can discharge into the downpipes. If it all goes wrong I'm only 20 mins from you so can drop some wellies off

I'm not sure what you are proposing here - can you post a diagram / photo? I have just replaced a roof on an outbuilding (no furring), this was my buildup: Joist -> OSB -> VCL -> Insuation -> OSB -> Rubber Fascias were fitted after the deck

marshian Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago No offence intended here but you’ve started several threads in specific sections related to your garden room project not everyone would have followed all of them. I think the first post which you clearly didn’t was typical forum humour which sometimes doesn’t translate to new members. a sketch or picture helps a lot to understand what you are trying to do - i have an EPDM roof on my shed that I completely rebuilt last year - it doesn’t pool but I made the fall a little too much as in a good shower it can shoot past the gutters. Previous felt covered OSB roof was much shallower pitch and it pooled and rotted out.
