Hope people can assist. I am intalling a loxone system and intend to use Nano2Relays for my blinds. There is a fed in from the board and looped to 3/4 blinds, so I will have the feed for each individual blind, a tree cable from the nearest RGBW spot, the blind motor cable itself and the Nano2Relay cable so 4 in total.

My query is how are you meant to install a fused spur for each blind when they are looped? I was going to just have a single gang box for my collections and a blank plate for future access. I am not sure if it is regulation that you need a fused spur for each blind? I was led to believe the way I have described is how partners would wire it if using Nano2Relays? Any help would be great thanks.

Going to depend on your blinds. What do the manufacturer's installation instructions say?

Assuming these are 230VAC versions, most will require a 3A or 5A fused plug on the end of their cable, or a fused connection unit (FCU), so that they can be electrically isolated for maintenance, etc.

Some manufacturers require that you only have one blind powered up at a time when configuring, but this may not be an issue for you. If it isn't, and provided you understand the load requirements in both startup and use, you could wire more than one blind from a single FCU.

My spark wanted individual isolators at each blind location.

Which blind motor are planning on using?

I have this question/problem too.

Sparky has run one cable from the consumer unit to feed 3 blinds. Now been told that configuring somfy 240V smart roller blind motors has to be done one at a time, and that I should have fused spurs from a cupboard somewhere.

Well i don't have a nearby cupboard within 6m.

My blinds are going into a blind box.

Is there not some simple and compact 240V push fit in line connector that could be used for each blind to allow disconnection ?

Seem to be plenty of inline fused connectors for low voltage car wiring etc - are there any for 240V ?

If the electrican has the blinds looped you should still be able to feed each blind individually from a fused spur? I am actually using Blindspace too and have just started the wiring of the house.

This is what the company have listed - image.png.d23f7df6c7e9f100e6908ba1535274c8.png

They are 230v and I will be using the Nano2relays, I presume I can just loop the feed in to 3/4 fuse spurs and have a feed from each to the motor,Nano2,tree cable and feed cable?

I went 24v blinds but have 5 mains velux windows so its the same question. I fitted back boxes at each to allow connecttion from T&E to the window power cable using wagos. I covered this with a bead master cover and plastered over them. The power was looped between them and taken back to a central fused spur which my sparky was happy with. This has left me with smart clean window reveals without a visible fused spur in each window which would ned a ladder to get to anyway. The bead master covers are designed to be cut out an leave a neat edge to fit a plate to so it would be a 5 min job to do that and fit a fused spur at each window. I accept that if I had a fault at the moment it would be difficult/impossible to diagnose which of the 5 blinds had caused the fault I would simply top and cut out the bead master covers. I have documented this in my Loxone build documents. For my 24v Blinds I did the same but could not git the blinds before I plastered so have a blanking plate at each window to cover the connections. These 24V cables go back to a pair of boxes with fused 24V panels where each blind has a dedicated fuse and LED tell tail.
