New dimmer switch required but which one?

Hi

I need to replace the dimmer switch in my living room as it no longer works, it got to a point were it would trip the fusebox continually and blow the light bulbs.

It controlled 4 spotlights in my room and I would like to buy a replacement but which one am I looking for?

Just a major brand instead of something you've never heard of. Sure Screwfix or similar have a selection.

You do need to ensure the new one will match the lamps - either incandescent or LED.
