So a few days ago the saniflo high water alarm went off .

Decided reluctantly to open it up and take a look !

(expletive deleted) me - like something from alien !

No wonder it’s struggling .

This is from a sink / dishwasher and washing machine . We try to prevent food going down the sink .

To avoid this again is there anything I can tip down the sink to basically clear all this gunk from building up ??

Tell you what

cleaned it and back installed now - testing it

First think I notice how much quieter it is and how short a time the pump runs to empty water …

One for the ladies, sadly….

@Pocster, just use a wet and dry vac and ‘suck it up’ 🤢🤮

Seriously , no magic tip down sink , liquifies gloop then all good ?

Have you checked the non return valve is clear?

These things are a nightmare long forgotten. Phone used to ring with these, and I used to say “no thanks”. Always comebacks and more problems and the last person to touch it MUST be the one that broke it.

Feck that.

The saniflo bs alarm I’ve removed from the unit . It buzzes even like this …

Guess the pressure switch is stuck - will buy a new one to be safe .

I guess every year religiously ( or when the pump sounds a bit rough ) - I do this task .

Well today is St. George's day, so easy to remember.
