Garald Posted March 30 Posted March 30 I have an extremely stupid question. I was planning to hang some flowerpots from the central support beam in the attic (not sure whether I should use nails, screws or pegs?). My girlfriend objects, saying one shouldn't risk damaging the beam. Surely this is an excessive concern? Or not?
FuerteStu Posted March 30 Posted March 30 (edited) I trust the beam more than that hook. (not a structural engineer) At worst there will be 20kg hanging from that, and the beam can take it, that hook maybe not. How fancy does it need to look? I'd trust a plate fixing with a ring in it. 4 screws are better than one. Edited March 30 by FuerteStu 1
