Single Lever Shower Mixer

I really like this single lever shower mixer for it's simplicity and clean lines. It also sort of matches the bath & basin taps:

Wanting thermostatic I think it can be combined with this:

But someone recently I think argued against single control types?

AIso I'm assuming Grohe is a different make to Hansgrohe?

(I'm still hankering after a diverter type so I can switch from the spray  handset to overhead rainfall type).

I argued against the single lever SEQUENTIAL valves ( because they have  no flow control ? only temp ).

The one you linked has both, but I'd really endeavour to find a thermostatic one TBH.

Id rethink this if I were you.

The second link is to the thermostatic mixer bit that goes behind the "lever" (first link).....I think...

Hansgrohe and Grohe are indeed different brands. We went with Hansgrohe Uno 2 range across all taps, showers, baths etc (apart from kitchen). The Hansgrohe has a similar iBox which is the thermostatic mixer - it simplifies first fix and boarding and wall tiling happens with the iBox in place, then simply attach the tap and rose to finish.

Have a look at this link - they show compatible items with the product, it shows a different model of mixer than the one you have linked to. Best to cross-check with the Grohe site before you purchase.

On single lever, this is a personal thing, but I do not like having to juggle flow and temperature like this, it is more fiddly than having 2 separate knobs or levers.

On your diverter comment, a 2-lever affair will deliver this. One lever that controls flow and which shower head (e.g. left to hand-held and right to wall-mounted) and another to control the temperature. Or you can add a separate diverter downstream from the main mixer valve.
