Just say the soil you dig out is 1800 kg/ m^3 and the Geocell Foamglass is 150 kg/m^3. Now stick a raft slab on top of that and you basically get some "free load". Yes. It is easy to forget that it is the change in load that makes the difference. Very much the same in thermodynamics.
Dave Jones Posted yesterday at 07:38 Posted yesterday at 07:38 perhaps you could draw out a simple raft solution to show whats required and how its built ? SE is an extra cost that otherwise may not be needed at all in a build which may tip the scale. On the other hand if your on bad ground and need piling etc it may become financially viable, bloody trees everywhere these days! warranty only has to spot one in the distance and adds extra 10m of depth!!
