New Build Warranty for Mortgage

Could anyone give advice on how to obtain a warranty for a new build we are about to start. Our plan is to refinance once the project is completed and our mortgage advisor has said that lenders would require the property to have a warranty in place.

It can be arranged with the specialist self build insurer that you use.

Thanks. Could I also ask what the benefits would be for obtaining self build insurance?

To cover at least some of the downside that could happen during the build - fire, theft and probably injury.
