windowproblem2025 Posted January 11 Posted January 11 (edited) Hello, I am trying to find a way to replace two of my concrete slabs. The slabs are in fact covering a large conduit (Thames Water) runs around the street. But I (as homeowner) owns the slabs on my property. Each of them is 30cm x 22.8cms (outer shape) 1. One is cracked broken - so needs to be replace 2. Another one is sitting directly over the conduit, so I may need plumbing/construction access. So, my plan is to use ones with lifting lugs or eyes (hopefully, I am saying the right things). I don't know who can give me those replacements, and also how can I buy them without having custom made? And also, without taking a survey? Does anyone have any idea how to get about finding the right people? Edited January 11 by windowproblem2025 Shortened it to try and make the message clearer

Expand Perhaps I didn't put this clearly on my post - it's not quite a 30 x 22.8 cm block - because it's only the outer (visible) dimensions. I am attaching a crude drawing to explain. It's got inner dimmensions and edges which I am not sure I can do it at home. It's very hard without lifting it fully, inspecting, and then deciding what to do. My reason for posting it here, is to see if anyone had had similar conduit protection cover at their property, and how they maintained/reparied it. or even, replaced it. Expand Does the drawing show chamfered edges on the underside of the slab? Is that because there is a fillet on the edge of the concrete conduit or just where crud has built up.

Sorry again for not being able to show the exact picture, as I don't have tools to lift the slab without damaging it
dpmiller Posted January 12 Posted January 12 If it's some kind of service conduit cover, are you *sure* you actually own it?
