Basically we are getting up so stupidly early for me to get to site on time that we now consider 21:30 as a late night. So how about 19:00 at the Cherry Tree pub in Woodbridge. It’s a school night so shouldn’t be too busy. Our site is about 127.3 m walk from there so if anyone is interested we can go have a peek at some setting concrete. (Fingers crossed we get to pour some into our trenches by then!) PS. You will be relieved to know that we have finally poured some concrete. We went for a matt battleship grey colour in the end. With earthy coloured splodges. Rather chic I think. So tomorrow evening I can show off some concrete. As for eating why don’t we do what young peeps do nowadays? All just do our own thing and pay as we go. That way we can all sit and talk while peeps are at various stages of eating, and there’s no worries about tabs.
LSB Posted Saturday at 08:11 Posted Saturday at 08:11 I need to dig out the diary, will come back to you.
G and J Posted Saturday at 08:44 Posted Saturday at 08:44 Busy week next week. Besides, I think for me monthly is too frequent. I need more than four weeks to gather catastrophes to have something to talk about. 😉
LSB Posted Saturday at 09:15 Posted Saturday at 09:15 I've checked the schedule and I'm in a meeting from 9 - 5 on Thur so I don't want to do an evening meet yet.

JohnnyB Posted Saturday at 15:19 Posted Saturday at 15:19 I might get time to stop a little earlier than usual, there should be a little less to keep on top of this week.
Alan Ambrose Posted Sunday at 05:17 Author Posted Sunday at 05:17 @G and J that’s under the other bit silly. Glatthaar are being less efficiently Germanic than I assumed they would be when I first contacted them 9 months ago. Right now have me in a sales Catch 22 that they say they don’t know their own way out of….
Alan Ambrose Posted Sunday at 05:42 Author Posted Sunday at 05:42 p.s. anyone know of someone local who does drain pressure tests?

This video covers the internal test, but also goes over the manometer details, so is useful. Pressure leakage targets are different for the two areas. You can borrow my manometer, tubing, plugs etc if you want? https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B076MWGCW3/ref=sspa_dk_detail_1?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B076MWGCW3&pd_rd_w=Un0db&content-id=amzn1.sym.46187d6a-4306-4bc6-830c-7b2085e0e39f&pf_rd_p=46187d6a-4306-4bc6-830c-7b2085e0e39f&pf_rd_r=22G43YJVPT8FHEGD79C7&pd_rd_wg=87pEV&pd_rd_r=17700e09-12af-4429-9c99-74b20425ba8b&s=diy&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9kZXRhaWw Edited Sunday at 15:50 by Nick Laslett
Alan Ambrose Posted Sunday at 15:54 Author Posted Sunday at 15:54 Thanks for the offer - I was aiming though for a bit of paper signed by an ‘expert’ to wave at BC.

Are you sure you need one? I think if you do one and document it that will be enough. To back it up you could always take pics or maybe even a vid.

Nick Laslett Posted Sunday at 19:07 Posted Sunday at 19:07 @G and J, I believe a competent individual can self certify drains testing. These guys provide a handy web based test certificate. https://wilkinsoncc.co.uk/drain-testing/ https://wilkinsoncc.co.uk/self-certify/ The building inspector should really inspect the drainage and observe an actual test, if he has any concerns with competency and workmanship.

Alan Ambrose Posted Monday at 13:37 Author Posted Monday at 13:37 Yeah, that's why I was looking for somebody who knows what they were doing... On a different subject: anyone want 90mm BT duct free - I have 3 x 6m lengths and a bunch of connectors? Also, some UKPN 'tile tape' - that is, the stuff that UKPN put over their ducts as a warning.

Oh, yes please
Alan Ambrose Posted Tuesday at 18:27 Author Posted Tuesday at 18:27 I don't have a roof rack on my van, but can probably arrange for them to get to Kesgrave. Tile tape too?
