Newbie introduction - renovation and extension in North West England

Hi and Happy New Year to all,

 

I’ve just joined up seeking advice and moral support to take-on completion of my project in the north west, after deciding the builder contractor route was working as we hoped. At least we have a roof (but appalling leadwork apparently).

 

Here for builder translation services and insights into specific tasks - yesterday’s search here on rafter trays with insect screens delvered the goods right away, so I signed-up!

 

Hopefully things will work out fine, but it feels (very) overwhelming at times… And its minus whatever right now…

 

Thanks in advance for any assistance - and also apologies in advance for getting my builder terms wrong!

Welcome to the forum. Self building can be very overwhelming at times but stick with it and BH will help get you through.

I wouldn't worry about getting things wrong. Most of us aren't in the building trade, and even those who are started knowing nothing. Post a pic, use your own words (all in the correct sub-forum of course!) and you'll generally get the help you need.
