Plumbing in Samsung fridge near stop tap

Hi, I need to plumb in our new Samsung fridge, but it's far away from the kitchen sink and the floor is tiled.

The fridge is next to a cupboard where the water mains and gas supply enters the house as seen in the photos attached.

I am thinking of adding a tee piece to the water pipe just above the stop tap and I'm looking for opinions on this please.

The pipe is not in an ideal place for getting the pipe cutter on it, but it could be done.

In one of the photos, I have photo shopped in where I plan on fitting the tee piece.

Here is a better pic of the pipe I plan on plumbing into. Something I'm not sure about though is that electrical wire that's attached the the water pipe. Is it ok to add a tee piece just above this wire connection, or does the copper pipe have to be a certain unbroken length?

The earth bond should be above the stopcock before the first branch so it is correct to leave the earth where it is and insert your tee above it.

Your problem will be I bet there will be no slack in the pipe to insert the tee, so you may have to cut a bigger section of pipe out, fit your tee and then a slip coupling above it.  Unless anyone knows of a slip tee fitting?

Most fridges have a very thin plastic pipe for there water feed so it should be easy to feed that round the back of the cupboard and have the isolating valve near the front just off your tee.

Thank you very much for you're help.

I was thinking there probably isn't going to be any play in that pipe.

The self piercing fitting sounds ideal, but I'm a little skeptical, but probably just because I'm set in my ways.

I'm thinking of anything goes wrong with the fitting, it could turn into a bit of a nightmare, as that pipe immediately runs behind a plastered in box section.

I'm considering using a pipe under the kitchen sink, but I would have to go under the floor, down the hatch in the hall and crawl into the kitchen area to run the supply pipe into that cupboard. It wouldn't be nice at all.
