OldieNewbie
Hi all, my friend built a kind of lean to using timber and roofed it with perspex during lockdown. He didn’t lap the sheets of perspex and butted them up to each other, and sealed with silicone. It has started to leak. can perspex sheets be welded together to create a seal? Would this be cost effective? thanks

No idea how you would go about it. Would be better to look a some butt joint seals.
Andehh
Wait until a dry day, masking tape and a generous bead of silicone along the joint? It's only a lean to...
Alan Ambrose
Did he get some 2nd material cheap? Otherwise it was probably polycarb. If really perspex / acrylic, then look up instructions for making fish tanks. If polycarb, maybe there’s some kind of rubber / plastic beading that can be glued over the joints. Else +1 to silicone.
