From the opposite side of the road, it looks just like a normal wall.

I closest I've ever found to that look is Jacksons Retaining Wall, although 90mm or 140mm, so not brick sized.

Thats the point I think  @joe90 .... Amble's not exactly the richest area in the UK ....
