Finish of main contract

Main contractor almost finished their work, second fix down to me.

 

Before I settle their account,  minus 6 month retention, what should I check with regard to building regs?

Get your building control inspector for a walk around to check he is happy with everything as built to date. That's what I did before paying the final stage payment.
