MrTimbo
Hello! We bought a house recently and I was planning what to do with the garage when I noticed the back wall has a bit of wet coming from behind a wooden board. It turns out when the extension was put in, they pushed all the dirt straight out the back and around the back of the pre-existing garage. So anyhow, I removed the board and the old garage window was still there, completed rotted, half underground. I've sealed the gap as a temp measure and it's water tight afaik (wouldnt trust more than some light rain). I've removed the old window frame but now I don't really know how to fix it properly, so that at some point we can plaster over it all. Any advice on how to tackle this would be greatly appreciated! gaz_moose
just lift the slabs and brick it up. those bricks are London Brick company or LBC for short, they are called heritage or classic or traditional or something like that. are the slabs higher than the damp proof course? ProDave
Or a couple of courses of brick then a UPVC window to give light into the garage.
