Roof Lantern - Noise

Hi all

 

I have a very random question, I have a sky lantern on a flat roof area. Today when it was quite warm out, it was making a lot of cracking/clunking noises quite regularly. 
 

I am pretty certain it is due to the heat but is there anything at all I could do to try and alleviate this?

Probably the roof expanding and contracting Especially if it’s fiberglass

It'll be the timbers warming up, expanding, and moving. My parents house is an old timber frame and creaks like an old ship when the sun comes out
