CH_18 Posted March 8, 2024 Posted March 8, 2024 Hi all, Just coming round to doing our drive and entrance on our new build and would like to build an entrance wall over a main sewer, is this allowed? It's not really a permanent structure and could be knocked down easily if it was required. I've read the building over sewer guide but it only mentions houses/buildings/extensions not boundary walls? Thanks
DevilDamo Posted March 8, 2024 Posted March 8, 2024 Which authority as each will have their own guidelines?
CH_18 Posted March 9, 2024 Author Posted March 9, 2024 It will be Welsh Water. I understand the concerns with a building/extension but is a non load bearing wall allowable?
Conor Posted March 9, 2024 Posted March 9, 2024 Nope, not allowed, generally. You'd need to contact them and go through the usual hoops.
