Wet dash

Recommended Posts

Getting closer to plastering stage now, will be getting a crew in but am wondering which mix is better white sand, white cement, white chip (10mm) or grey sand, cement, any 10mm chip and lime. Looking for a bright white finish. If going the 1st mix is there need for lime? I know that whichever crew we go with will most likely know but would like to know for myself, thanks.

With the first mix the lime won't make it much whiter but it may be a better consistency / easier to work with.  Can you make up sample batches?

Good idea, though would require buying a bag of each(tight git I am 🙂 )

I’ve wet dashed ours with K Dash

Ive several pumps that spray the dash but my wife wanted it more random Like I used to do 30 years back in the Lake District White cement Silver sand

3-1-1

The silicone renders keep there colour better

You used the white cement in the scratch coat too? What size chip did you go for Nod, it's a fine looking house.

No. This is K dash

But no You don’t need white cement or silver sand in the scratch coat
