Bailey
Apologies if this post is not allowed - had a roofer do some work 6 months ago, didn't fix the issues. Hired another roofer to sort the issue and he pointed out the previous roofers bad work. Now in the process of trying to get a refund, he is deflecting after offering me 1/3rd of the price a paid. I’m looking to get some opinions from real roofers about this quality of work. He put fresh tiles over cracked ones he smashed and siliconed other cracked ones. To note he charged me 650 pound. The roofer who fixed his work only charged me 80. He has said that anyone can pick faults.
bassanclan
This is the definition of shit roofing! £650! You've been had by a cowboy. None of that work is up to standard it. Replacing a half a dozen tiles should not be beyond the skills of a competent roofer. If you ever come across the Roofing Outlaw on social media, he always says "Think my roofing is expensive? Try getting a sh!t one"
Mr Punter
These look like Marley Eternit Slates. They are pretty soft compared to genuine slate and they do not last that long. The silicone is a massive bodge. £650 is a piss take.
twice round the block
Should have used Hallhook Slate repair clips. Permanent, invisible and cost less than a blob of mastic sealer.
