RobbySea
It is taking months to get my electrical compliance certificate. My M&E contractor used a subcontractor who seems incapable of providing me the link to my certificate. He keeps promising to be in the office and address it. My M&E contractor has used every excuse available for over a year to avoid addressing the electrical compliance certificate, the fire alarm test certificate and rainwater commissioning certificate. (Is there a an excuse playbook he is using giving a complete list of excuses for me to check against) In meantime my BCO is due to retire at year end! Without BCO sign off I have VAT locked up and should I need to sell, I cannot. I have no financial pressure to exercise over the electrical subcontractor and minimal pressure over the M&E contractor as I have been prompt on stage payments and have little retention. Anybody any ideas how I can jack up the pressure or otherwise get these certificates?
ProDave
Start by finding out what competent person scheme the electrician is registered with. Are the electrics complete or is this ongoing work?
RobbySea
ProDave, Since posting, I have received the certificate! It is completed work. I still need to harangue the M&E contractor!
