Plastering onto cement boards!?

Good Morning

 

I will need to plaster onto cement boards, the cement boards are quite smooth and guessing high suction

 

Will i need to prime it or green grit it (gypsum bond-it)?

 

Any ideas/advice on this please

From memory i think its SBR bond you'd need in this case, sure someone will come along and confirm

I'm planning on plastering onto Jackoboard, I called their technical guy who told me to prime with sbr and then plaster away .

Is this the correct SBR primer?

 

Do i just roller it on neat? OR does it need diluting?

 

Would the plasterers need to use multi finish or would board finish be ok?

The guy at Jackoboard told me to use SBR, he didn't say anything about diluting it, but I also didn't ask, and I'm not at the point of plastering yet so il jabe to.look firther. Give the their technical helpline a call, they were quite easy to talk to. If I remember correctly the plasterer said he'd just use multifinish over it, the same as the rest if the walls.

It doesn’t say anything about prep on their website instead it suggests you can plaster straight on to it. Although I only have a small triangle to plaster over that covers part of the stairs in a wardrobe.
