Vijay
I need to install air bricks into the internal rising and sleeper walls and wondered if there is any reason I couldn't put them in the bottom course, so directly on top of the foundation concrete? Cheers Vijay

Cheers Vijay I just left a brick out and cut a concrete lintel down to 600 and put it over the missing brick main reason was to allow underfloor ventilation But also so that any water would not be traped and would make its way to a drain under the centre of the B&B floor BC signed it off without ant issues

Vijay
Cheers Nod. I've got about 20 to do so would be much easier to do it with air bricks. Or is there any reason I couldn't use an air brick vertically??

Vijay
Can I use plastic air vents under the floor or does it have to be terracotta? I can only imagine it would be an issue for rats but they can't exactly go anywhere

The short answer is The engineer I was going to stone it He advised me that in the unlikely event of a flood i would be relying on the water seeping away under the house Leaving sewage under the house So we laid a central drain with six metres of concrete falling towards it it cost me an extra £350 plus half a days labour for two not a fortune in the grand scheme of things
