Hi there. I've lifted the floorboards and found pieces like this spread at random points around the pipes. Could it be a product with asbestos? Thanks.

I doubt it, looks more like coir fitted to stop the pipes squeaking against the joists. If you're worried you can get asbestos testing kits from Amazon.

Hessian wrap. Others may correct me but I am not aware of asbestos ever being 'implicated' in connection with this. It's not just anti-squeak - it is thermal insulation, and I sometimes use it as a wrap when I cannot get plastic sleeve on the pipe(s).

Yep hessian wrap as insulation or anti squeak when running over joists as in the picture (i am that old to remember it’s usage decades ago 😱).

Looks like the sheep wool kind that I have recently used for noise isolation of my MVHR unit where it hangs on a roof truss. Also used it for general pipe insulation where the foam stuff can't go round tight corners etc.

Yeah doesn't really look like asbestos to me, but the only way to know for sure is getting it tested. Just search asbestos testing kit on Google or Amazon
