Garden Water Feature

We are in the process of doing our garden.  We would like a water feature similar to the one in the picture.  It would be around 240cm x 50cm and about 40cm deep.  Please is to have 4 small water fountains in it with some LED Lighting ect.  Now the question is how do I keep this from going green and messy.  Would I just put a standard fish tank filter in somewhere? or do I just leave it and add clorine every now and then?

Both, and a UV system as well.

just  a squirt of sodium hypochlorite every couple  weeks.

Or add dye and embrace the darkness.

Thanks im gonna go with the Filter + sodium hypochlorite.  See how this goes to start with if it needs the UV I will prep the pipes so I can add it later.
