vagrantly3893 Posted September 13, 2023 Share Posted September 13, 2023 This hole was for a extraction hood that has been removed. The cable will also be removed. I'd like to cover/close the hole. It doesn't have to be pretty because the ceiling will be replaced next year. There is cold space above (barn) so I'll also be laying some insulation above the hole to reduce heat loss. Iceverge Posted September 13, 2023 Share Posted September 13, 2023 If you want something slightly tidier Cut a square of timber the width of two planks and larger than the hole is all dimentions out first . Trace around it and cut out an identical hole in the roof. Then place a backing piece of timber above the hole and screw your "patch" into place.
